I'm not even close to ready! I have so much left to do outside. It's supposed to warm up again Sunday, which happily is my next day off. I'm working at two different events on Saturday so I hope I'm not too pooped to finish up the last of the fall garden chores.
Our 1st snow last year was November 20th. Our first hard frost was only last week. We've had snow as early as September and it's not unusual to have snow in late October so I guess I shouldn't complain.

Uh, oh, Apple - it looks like you and Country Girl will not be wearing your straw hats for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI hope the weekend is pleasant and you can be outside.

You're making me shiver! But you are right, we shouldn't complain. We've had a lovely year!
ReplyDeleteAt first glance I thought those top 2 pictures were in black and white...but I see it's the dreaded white stuff! The kids (A&T) had their first hard frost yesterday morning while we were there. A lot of their trees are still green!
ReplyDeleteWe saw a little snow on the hillsides when we got close to home yesterday.
No matter when the first snow comes it's always too soon for me.
I'm really looking forward to enjoying the blooms on your Gaillardia and E's lily next spring...and all the Foxglove too.
I still have gardens to tidy up, if and when I ever finish emptying containers!
Oh my, you've had snow already. None up in my part of the world ... yet.
ReplyDeleteI'm always too pooped to finish up the last of the garden chores. Hope you enjoy your day off!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh! Don't you live in that snowbelt to the east of Lake Ontario? Here comes the lake effect
