We're Ready for Garden Walk

We have our hotel room booked and are looking forward to a weekend away. There will be over 300 gardens open at Garden Walk Buffalo this year but we plan to take things at a more leisurely pace than we did last year!

I've been having a lot of fun playing with Wordle. Maybe we'll wear matching t-shirts, then again maybe not.

  1. We're looking forward to having you here! Check out the article that appeared in NY Newsday - http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wire/newyork/ny-bc-ny--travel-buffalogar0718jul18,0,1071740.story

It's an AP article that gets picked up all over the country! I think we'll need crowd control. Not that gardeners get too out of hand.

  2. Glad Garden Walk is getting some good publicity. It is an awsume tour and a great time! It's a nice escape for us and we get all kinds of ideas!

  3. Have fun!

Hope you posted a guard at your gardens. I know a looneytic lily thief that's been waiting for the right chance to visit your gardens.

  4. The t-shirt idea would be fun. I hope the two of you have a great time at the Garden Walk this year.

I was fun meeting both of you yesterday. Apple, thank you for supper, it was delicious. Country Girl, it was fun talking with you. I made it to Oswego in time but never saw K Mart along 481. Oh, well.

  5. Jim,
Great article! I hope we find parking as easily as we did last year.

    Wiseacre,
Country Girl has an attack cat that you need to watch out for. He is purrrfectly ferocious. I'm quite happy to trade, just leave something interesting!

    Martha,
It was great meeting you and your son and we enjoyed having you! I'm sorry you missed K-mart, I thought you had looked up where it was or I would have given you directions :-(

  6. Park by my house and take the shuttle this year. I can set you up with a map and set you in the direction of some gardens-not-to-be-missed that you may not have seen last year.

As far as t-shirts go, yours is nice but we'd rather have you buy a Garden Walk t-shirt! (and tote bag and hat and magnet..)

  7. Hi Apple and Country Girl,

One of the words in that collage ought to be "Jealous" - it may not be in your posts but it's probably in the hearts of your readers who wish they were going to the big Garden Walk weekend with you.
I can't remember if you met Elizabeth Licata from Garden Rant at last year's walk - she was one of the gardenbloggers here at Spring Fling. If you've met her, and I've met her, does that mean you girls and I have only 2 degrees of separation? (If this is too goofy for you, blame it on Austin's continuous day-after-day of 100+ temps with no rain. Think I'm getting punchy.)

I hope you have a wonderful time!

  8. Jim,
Sounds like a good plan to us!

    Annie,
Two degrees of separation is better than six. If you can make it to Buffalo for GW some year we'd love to meet you and you could escape your heat for a little while!
