Garden Walk Pictures

I added a very cool little gadget to the sidebar with all of our Garden Walk pictures. When I checked today it does not seem to be working. !#%#&*#!!! I thought the slide show of our gardens was messing it up so I removed it. Obviously that wasn't the problem. Anyway......

We hope to do more posts about the walk but if any of you are interested in the whole set you can find it here. Hopefully I'll figure out what part of the code and/or feed that booger doesn't like soon.

ETA: I found a different widget that seems to work great and was very easy. Many thanks to coolstuff! If you have a Picasa account and want to use this on your blog follow the link below the GW pics. Open a new tab/window and open the Picasa album that you want to use. Scroll all the way to the bottom right and click on your RSS link. Ignor the fact that it brings up a page of code - just highlight and copy (ctrl+c) the http: address at the top of your browser and then go back to the coolstuff tab/window and paste it (ctrl+v). If you are going to use the slideshow in the body of a post just copy the embed code. If you want to place it on your sidebar you will have to change the size to make it smaller. I used 200w x 150h. You may have to play with the size depending on the template you use.

  1. Wow! That's a lot of pictures! I've linked you up to the Garden Walk web site so our gardeners (& guests) can see your photos. They're pretty extensive.

  2. Hi Jim,

We did seem to take a ton of pictures but when you figure there were two of us and we spent 11 hours over two days there should probably be more. I hope to have time to edit out the duplicates and play with some of them in the fall.

  4. I want to try that when I become more blog spot literate. I am intimidated at the moment. You did a great job. Thanks for reminding me how great newspaper is as a mulch, I had forgotten. I had success using it in 2003 I think. Since you are so adventurous, check out a book named "Diary of a Wannabe Gardener." The title says it all. It is a work of fiction that is entertaining and inspiring. preview the book at www.bbotw.com. I believe you will enjoy it.

I would much rather have something like this than my flickr badge.
