June Blooms

I am a few days late on my bloom report but I thought I would show some of my blooms anyway (I also have a few more blooms since I am a bit late. Isn't funny how something always blooms the day after you get your bloom report in!

There is so much blooming this month I am thrilled! It was such a crazy winter but it looks like it was worth it as the plants are better than ever this year. To the right are my pincushion flowers. They were my first experience with bareroot plants and didn't do much the last three years. This year they multiplied and are blooming! Below are my lupines. They are HUGE this year!

The delfiniums I bought a few weeks ago have even bloomed. They didn't get tall though, I wonder if they will next year? I hope so!

Also in bloom: peonies, oriental poppy, king of hearts, geraniums, salvia, foxglove, columbine, daylillys, wild daisies, chives, phlox, roses.

  3. Hi Michelle - Unfortunately, these don't really have a scent. I visited your blog - Congratulations on your anniversary! I love that your husband made the cement piece for you. He sounds sweet.

I enjoyed your blog as well.

Thank you both for stopping by!

  4. Lupines and delphinium aren't that easy to grow, Country Girl - and yours are really doing great. [So is the columbine in the kitty post.] Your list has some classic flowers, but I don't know the 'king of hearts'plant.

  5. Hi Annie - Glad to hear from you, I hope you had a great trip! I think the king of hearts is in the bleeding heart family. It is much smaller and mounds to only around 12" around with little "hearts" on it. It's pretty but it doesn't bloom long.
