Sad to say much of it I didn't recognize until a year or two later. I thought the milkweed patch was terribly ugly then but I love it now and can't wait for the monarchs that always make their appearance. I was sad when we had to pull the huge old ivy vine from our barn chimney as it was a wonderful place for the sparrows, but very bad for the barn. Besides, my husband wanted to hook up a woodstove to keep his shop warm.
